The Grand Prix was awarded to Bodyform/Libresse’s “#PainStories”, VICE Media’s “Unfiltered History Tour”, Channel 4’s “Super. Human.” for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, and Whirlpool’s “Plasticoff.” “Unfiltered History Tour” won Grand Prix in two categories: Communication and Experience.

From Japan, LIFULL’s “ECOLATE” won a silver prize, and Nagasaki Shimbun’s “13865 black dots and 2 red dots” won a bronze prize.

“ECOLATE” is a project by LIFULL to make chocolate from waste cacao.

“13865 black dots and 2 red dots” by Nagasaki Shimbun. In the 30-column advertisement published in the Nagasaki Shimbun on August 9, 2021, the black round dots indicate the number of nuclear weapons in the world (at that time).

The Gerety Awards will start in 2019. All the judges are women, but all advertisements are eligible, not just advertisements made for women. The aim is to create advertising standards that are in line with market conditions, and to redefine the standards of advertising that have been required in the past.
