“Gale Legend: Tokko no Taku” x “Tokyo Manji Revengers” A miraculous collaboration of delinquent manga that transcends “ages”! Don’t miss the “Soul Succession Advertisement” that jacked Shibuya! |Press release from Kodansha Co., Ltd.

The legendary delinquent manga “Shippu Densetsu Tokko no Taku”, which has many quotes and is still talked about today, has been reprinted and released today, February 20 (Monday). To commemorate this, we are carrying out a powerful advertising jack project in Shibuya!

The title is “Bad souls are inherited beyond the ‘era’.” In collaboration with “Tokyo Manji Revengers”, it is a project that picks up characters with common “bad souls” from the two manga.

In fact, Ken Wakui, the creator of “Tokyo Manji Revengers”, decided to become a manga artist because he once read “Gale Legend: Tokko no Taku”! That’s why “Tokyo Manji Revengers” has the “bad soul” inherited from “Gale Legend: Tokko no Taku”. Please see with your own eyes the hot soul that never changes even if the times change.

A total of 271 posters of all 12 types were displayed at 27 locations in Shibuya, making it a truly “cool” jack project!

In addition, “Soul Inheritance Advertisement” was posted at Shibuya Station and Yokohama Station (“Gale Densetsu Tokko no Taku” is set in Yokohama), as well as at the Kodansha company building above Gokokuji Station. You can see it in a larger design, so please take a look here.

Ken’s work is hot. Above all, I feel that this “Tokyo Manji Revengers” is a work that stands at a critical point. Even if the spirit of the times changes, I am convinced that it is Ken Wakui who can draw the image of a group of hot delinquents in this country.

It’s something that has been handed down from generation to generation in Japanese shonen manga… Taku-chan’s inheritance of “justice and aesthetics that transcends the law” transcends time and is surely handed down to Takemichi. That’s right.

〈Author of “Tokyo Manji Revengers” / Ken Wakui〉
“Gale Legend: Tokko no Taku” is the youth of my generation that I read until the comic was worn out. I cried at Taku-chan’s kindness, was fascinated by Ma-bo’s charisma, and was shaken by Takemaru’s madness. The era itself that was admired and fascinated by Tokyo Revengers and Mikey. I’m proud to have inherited the era of delinquents in the same week magazine!
