“BRANDED SHORTS 2023” will be held on June 14th, hosted by Asia’s largest international short film festival “Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2023” (SSFF & ASIA). Winners of each category were announced. “BRANDED SHORTS” is a film festival for short movies produced by companies and agencies for the purpose of branding, rather than just advertising. Including the international category, 26 films from 11 countries were nominated. From among these, the award-winning works in each category were selected by a total of eight judges, chaired by Yasuhito Tachibana (drama producer, representative of Nemeton).

The ceremony was held from 14:00 on June 14th at Akasaka Intercity Air in Tokyo. Prior to the announcement of the award-winning works, a talk section by eight judges started in the first part. Yasuhito Tachibana, chairman of the judging committee, along with film director Momoko Ando, ​​Titan CEO Mitsuyo Ota, and Forbes JAPAN editor-in-chief Masaharu Fujiyoshi took the stage. Each of the nominees made their own comments.

Ota commented, “This year’s tone was much brighter than last year’s.” As for the differences between the international and national divisions, Ayana Kizaki, Director of NewsPicks Studios, said, “It’s amazing to go all out overseas.” It is a place where the side and the creators come together perfectly” (Ando). The second part, which began after a break, was finally the awards ceremony. Tetsuya Bessho, representative of SSFF & ASIA, took the stage during the opening talk. We talked about the significance of holding BRANDED SHORTS with Mr. Masahiro Miwa, President and CEO of Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate Co., Ltd., which operates the venue, Akasaka Intercity, as a guest.
