Japanese Red Cross Society Kanto Koshinetsu Block Blood Center’s advertising poster wins Excellence Award at “Transportation Advertising Grand Prix 2024” | Press release from Oricon Co., Ltd.

Oricom Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akemi Nakajima; Capital: 165 million yen) has put up a poster in the train compartment of JR East as part of the promotion for World Blood Donor Day by the Japanese Red Cross Kanto Koshinetsu Block Blood Center (Koto-ku, Tokyo; Director: Kazuo Muroi).

The poster project won the Excellence Award in the Vehicle Media category at the Transportation Advertising Grand Prix 2024, sponsored by JR East Japan Planning Co., Ltd. This winning poster was planned to coincide with World Blood Donor Day on June 14th. The aim is to raise awareness of blood donations, even among people who do not usually donate blood, on World Blood Donor Day.

About the Japanese Red Cross Kanto Koshinetsu Block Blood Center

We carry out testing and manufacturing of blood donated in one metropolis and nine prefectures in the Kanto-Koshinetsu region (Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Niigata, Yamanashi, Nagano), and handle approximately 1.8 million donated blood samples per year. Our center is located in the Japanese Red Cross Tatsumi Building in Koto-ku, Tokyo, and we also have separate storage facilities at the Kanagawa Manufacturing Plant (Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture) and Saitama Manufacturing Plant (Higashimatsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture).

It is established for the following purposes:

Celebrate and thank blood donors.

– Encourage more people to become new blood donors.

Encourage healthy people to donate blood regularly, as often as safe and as possible, to help build a safe blood supply in every country of the world.

Underscore the important role of voluntary, free and regular blood donation to ensure universal access to safe blood products for all.
