“Kazuo Ogiwara and Gentaro Kagawa -The World of Castle Paintings-” is being held at Amagasaki Castle.
You can enjoy Japan’s first collaborative exhibition of original drawings, carefully selected works by Kazuo Ogiwara (1908-1975), a castle painter from Amagasaki City, and Mototaro Kagawa (1959-), who has many fans as a castle illustrator.
Mr. Hagiwara (died 1975), who was born in Amagasaki City, has been engaged in castle reconstruction paintings since he was in his twenties, and his skills have been highly evaluated to the extent that he is called the “painter of castles”. Mr. Mototaro Kagawa (b. 1959), who was born in the prefecture, became fascinated by the maze-like composition of castles when he was a junior high school student, and now he is a person who has many fans as a castle illustrator and maze illustrator.
At the same event, two new “original drawings of Amagasaki Castle” drawn by Mr. Gentaro Kagawa will be released at the same time.
