Last year’s national tour titled “Kurofune 50th Anniversary” was a great success, and a total of 8 performances at Billboard TOKYO and OSAKA starting February 19th of this year have been announced and have become a hot topic.
Reissues of his albums “BRASILIAN SKIES”, “JOLLY JIVE”, and his early best album “ALL OF ME”, which are popular both domestically and internationally, have been announced. Remastered and cut by Alex Wharton of Abbey Road Studios, London, using high-resolution sound sources from the original master tapes. He is one of the leading engineers at Abbey Road, which handles mastering for artists such as Paul McCartney & Wings and The Chemical Brothers.
Masayoshi Takanaka’s music is popular not only in Japan but also overseas. The concert scheduled for March 9th of this year at the historic “The Wiltern” in LA is already sold out, and an additional performance has been announced for March 10th.
Approximately half of the sales of last year’s reissues of “SEYCHELLES,” “TAKANAKA,” “AN INSATIABLE HIGH,” and “SUPER TAKANAKA LIVE!” were sold overseas. It has sparked the recent Japanese fusion boom overseas.
This work is also a limited first press, 180g weight edition. “BRASILIAN SKIES” clear sky blue, “JOLLY JIVE” clear lime yellow, “ALL OF ME” clear light green, each released on colored vinyl that expands the image of the jacket artwork. .
