Professional Classical Guitar Teacher

Hi, I’m Shogo, a classical guitarist and teacher based in Tokyo Japan.

I have over 20 years of experience teaching and performing across Japan, Spain, Oceania, and the United States NYC, working with students of all ages and backgrounds.

I specialize in helping students develop a beautiful tone, solid technique, and musical expression step by step.

My teaching is inspired by a Japanese approach: precise, patient, and detail-oriented — ideal for students who want real, long-term progress, not just quick tips.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an intermediate player, I will guide you clearly and efficiently toward your goals.

Curriculum

In lessons, we work on:

・Tone production

・Right, Left-hand technique (relaxed, clean playing, and your own unique tones)

・Practical practice methods

・Musical expression and phrasing

I provide customized materials including PDF exercises, classical repertoire, and tablature (TAB) for beginners if need.

Students will learn a wide range of styles within classical guitar, including Renaissance, Baroque, Spanish, and modern pieces.

Each student also receives a simple, personalized practice plan to maximize progress between lessons.
